The Liwan Foundation for Culture and Heritage organized the seventh “Emirati Women: The Future is Now” conference, held under the patronage of Sheikha Salama bint Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, under the theme “Women’s Power.”
The conference, held at the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers, was attended by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, a number of Their Excellencies, ambassadors, and female leaders, along with a group of experts in the fields of empowerment and development.
In a speech delivered on her behalf by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikha Salama bint Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan said: “The achievements of women over the past decades are closely linked to the vision and directives of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, to support women and advance their progress. The achievements of Emirati women also come with the support of the pioneer of the women’s renaissance, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation. She represents a model for Emirati women in achieving societal stability and balancing their path towards economic development and nurturing future generations.”
