Under the patronage of Sheikha Salama bint Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Al Liwan Foundation for Culture and Heritage and Honorary Chairwoman of the Capacity Development Center for People of Determination, and in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, the Capacity Development Center for People of Determination, in cooperation with Emirates Palace, organized the second marathon for people of determination today under the slogan “We Can.” The marathon saw the participation of more than 300 people of determination of various age groups, as well as 50 educational institutions and centers for people of determination.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan emphasized the wise leadership’s commitment to people of determination, seeking to achieve equality on a par with their peers. He noted the leadership’s role in development and achievements in various services and fields that serve people of determination.
He praised the organization of the marathon and the positive atmosphere that brought together participants and attendees, bringing joy to the hearts of people of determination. Dr. Samira Salem, Director and Founder of the Center for Capacity Development, delivered a speech in which she praised the UAE’s support for people of determination through laws and facilities that guarantee their civil and moral rights.
